Celebrating our successes!

Since its launch, three months ago, the AAU-eLearnAfricaLMS has successfully onboarded 56 universities in the LMS. We are inspired by this achievement and recognise the extraordinary response in creating big and positive impacts when we work together with partners and stakeholders of African higher education.

Dr Stanford G. Mukasa
Associate professor, Researcher, Consultant - Communication Education, Journalism, Public Relations, ICTs, Mass Media Studies

“Thank you very much for the eLearnAfricaLMS orientation. It is very user friendly. I have been teaching online courses for several African universities for many years. This is the first time I have come across a platform that is so comprehensive, well-integrated and suited to the African ICT teaching and learning environment. I will certainly recommend it to my colleagues!”

Dr Kabiru GULMA
PhD; Senior Lecturer in International Public Health, Subject-Matter Expert, Academic Writing and Publishing, School of Global Health and Bioethics, EUCLID (Euclid University / Pôle Universitaire Euclide)

“The eLearnAfrica LMS platform seems to be the most user-friendly portal for instructors I have seen. Its step-by-step method of creating courses is simple and easy to understand. Above all, eLearnAfrica LMS will gain a competitive advantage by introducing the mobile application which will make it easy for students to take courses without the burden of using a computer.”

Dr Ziphora Keikantsemang Moichela
Senior Lecturer, University of South Africa (UNISA)

“Thank you very much for your willingness to take me by hand to guide me on how to navigate the advancing technological tools which are fast becoming the springboards of the “new normal” brought about by CoVID-19. The LMS of every country in the world is being challenged to match up with the present times or I would say, even beyond future pandemics. We need to ensure that Africa is not left behind in tapping into technological advancement for our teaching and learning. This platform is a very important one. Thank you”

Richard NDAYISHIMIYE
(PhD, CA), Chargé de cours/Université du Burundi, Coordinateur Technique/Incubateur ED-UB, Burundi National Contact Person/DIANA ry

“The University of Burundi promotes open and distance learning in the context of the increasing use of ICT in higher education. Through its strategic action plan, it supports and implements various initiatives for the development of distance learning practices. As a member of the Association of African Universities (AAU), the University of Burundi encourages the entire university community to exploit every opportunity offered by this continental association. Among these is the AAU Learning Management System (LMS) whose operationalisation is facilitated by the AAU-LMS team which provides guidance and support lecturers to upload course content. AAU-LMS is a platform that makes learning easier for students. All learning materials are made available and accessible, providing a solution to the massification of classes and other related contextual factors. The task and interactions are made easy for teachers in their interactions with students. Many thanks to AAU-LMS."

Dr. Frederick Ebot Ashu

“Thanks Association of Africa Universities (AAU) for the new online learning platform that offers courses through eLearnAfrica’s Learning Management Systems. The eLearnAfrica online educational platform offers university lecturers to store educational content in different specialties through a website and app. The AAU eLearnAfrica app allows students to search among over 1,000 courses, degree programs. eLearnAfrica app is enhancing job satisfaction for Africa university lecturers, increasing and expanding educational opportunities throughout Africa.”
